Dear Friends,

A theatre does not consist of four walls. It is in the hearts of those who sing and dance with joy. It is in the souls laid bare by actors who elicit tears and laughter, and evoke thought and feeling. It is in the passion of all those who perform and all those who experience performances.

It is with great sadness that the Sketch Club Players announces we must close the doors to our playhouse on Glover Street in Woodbury due to circumstances beyond our control.  Although we are leaving the playhouse, the Sketch Club organization is still very much alive, active, and planning for an exciting future.

This unexpected turn of events means postponing our upcoming productions of “Cabaret” and “Jesus Christ Superstar.” However, we are currently planning a very special production of “A Christmas Story: The Musical” at a nearby venue during the scheduled time slot of Dec. 5-14. Please continue to check our website (www.sketchclubplayers.org) and our email notifications for updates.

If you are a subscriber or have purchased a ticket to “Cabaret,” or “Jesus Christ Superstar,” please contact us at tickets@sketchclubplayers.org for a refund. Subscription refunds will be prorated.

To our valued audiences: Thank you for your past, present, and future loyal patronage. We look forward to continuing to entertain you for many years to come. The Sketch Club is starting an exciting new chapter in its rich history, and we know there are bright days ahead. We will take with us all the wonderful memories we’ve made at 433 Glover Street, and make even more wherever we go. We will continue to put our hearts and souls into the lively arts, knowing that wherever we go, the magic of theatre will follow.
